About the 2025 BC Child Poverty Report Card

This year’s 2025 BC Child Poverty Report Card highlights widening income inequality, rising housing and food insecurity, and the growing number of families living far below the poverty line. It also underscores the crucial role of government transfers—and the risks posed by recent benefit cuts—as communities and members of our own Affiliate Network work even harder to ensure every child in British Columbia can thrive

Clear, actionable recommendations for child care, income supports, housing affordability, and living wages are included in our 29th annual Report Card. Please, share it widely.
