UNICEF releases The Equalizer: How Education Creates Fairness for Children in Canada

UNICEF Canada released The Equalizer: How Education Creates Fairness for Children in Canada this week, which is the Canadian Companion to the global report. In The Equalizer, UNICEF digs deeper into what contributes to inequalities and how Canada could do better. Out of 38 rich countries, Canada ranks 9th in education inequality gaps overall and 1st in equality of achievement of migrant children in secondary school. However, we rank 22nd in access to preschool for younger children and 18th in equality of achievement for primary school students.
