Resource on Returning Children to Regular Sleep Patterns

A recent CTV News article quotes the National Sleep Foundation’s recommendations that preschoolers (ages 3 to 5) need 10 to 13 hours of sleep, while school age children (ages 6 to 13) need 9 to 11 hours. Children ages 14 to 17 need about 8 to 10 hours of sleep. The article suggests setting an incrementally earlier wake-up time and sleep time, so that by the time school starts, children returning to school will be synced up with their school schedule and getting enough sleep for their age group.
