2018 Fundraising Gala with Grand Chief Ed John

In February 2018 we enjoyed a wonderful evening with our community to celebrate children and youth in our various roles. We were lucky to experience a moving keynote address by Grand Chief Ed John (Akile Ch’oh) who brought many to tears with this video that he shared.

We were also proud to present Raffi with the 2018 Champion of Child and Youth Rights Award for his music career dedicated to respect for the child as a whole person, and his busy career since as ecology advocate, entrepreneur, author and founder of the Child Honouring movement, has been driven by a vision of a world that would respect

its young.

Please take a moment to check out the photos of this year’s gala, courtesy of the talented Sarah Race.

You can also view the videos of the event, thanks to Lesley Harrington and the BCTF.

First Call’s annual gala goes to the core of our work, and the support we receive plays a large part in keeping the coalition running from year-to-year. Thank you to all involved and we’ll hopefully see you again in 2018!
