2015 Annual Fundraising Gala

2015 ANNUAL FUNDRAISING GALA

Thank you for joining us at our annual fundraising gala on February 12, 2015; it was a huge success! We were floored by the level of support and energy in the room. We hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity to spend an evening with friends and colleagues and to hear Dr. Ryan Meili’s thought-provoking call for healthy communities to be at the core of all public policy decisions.

The gala was a wonderful success with more than 450 people in attendance. It is so very important to gather together and celebrate our vision for a society centered around the 4 Keys to Success for Children and Youth, and it was very inspiring to be in a room filled with the diversity, intelligence, compassion and commitment that make up the First Call Coalition and our allies. As a result of the evening, we are moving forward with renewed energy, knowing that our work is being recognized and supported!

The gala was also a financial success. Your generosity played a key role in helping us to raise significant new funds. These funds will help us in the coming year to continue our work to focus public and government attention on improving the health and well-being of all of BC’s children, youth and their families.

Thank you to our keynote speaker Dr. Ryan Meili

Ryan Meili is a family doctor in Saskatoon and an assistant professor at the College of Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. His 2012 book A Healthy Society: How a focus on health can revive Canadian democracy has sold over four thousand copies across Canada.
