First Call Fundraising Gala with keynote speaker Dr. Melissa Lem

We thank everyone who joined us on February 27, 2020 to make new connections, celebrate, enjoy delicious food, and hear inspiring words from Dr. Melissa Lem.

Dr. Lem is a board member of the Canadian Association of Physicians for the Environment, strategic advisor to the BC Parks Foundation, experienced journalist, Vancouver-based family physician, and much more. She was also the inaugural winner of University College’s Young Alumni of Influence Award at the University of Toronto in 2015. Our annual fundraising galas are an occasion to celebrate our child and youth advocacy as well as to raise much-needed funds to ensure we can continue to put BC’s children and youth first.

Thank you for joining us for an evening to hear from a leading expert on the health impacts of fracking on BC children and youth and how young people are moving the dial on the climate crisis.
