BC’s all-party Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth convenes to guide progress for children and youth in BC. The committee works to “foster greater awareness and understanding among legislators and the public of the BC child and youth-serving system, and provides a public forum for discussion of reports by the Representative for Children and Youth,” the committee website says.
In 2016, the committee completed a special project examining child and youth mental health services in British Columbia. The Select Standing Committee on Children and Youth is one of nine permanent all-party committees of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.
