9:45 Roundtable of Provincial Social Services Organizations Update
Glenn Hope of the BC Council for Families will share key messages and strategies from the Roundtable for the use of agencies and boards. The Roundtable is working toward a relationship with communities and government that respects community social services as essential to community wellness.

10:00 Provincial and Federal Anti-Poverty Campaigns
Megan Yarema of Canada Without Poverty and Adrienne Montani of First Call will provide overviews of and updates on a number of anti-poverty campaigns, including the national Dignity for All campaign and bills for a poverty elimination strategy and affordable housing that are currently before Parliament, the Campaign 2000 summer MP lobby, and the BC Poverty Reduction Coalition. Followed by discussion of strategies for advocacy and partner engagement in these campaigns.

11:00 Child Rights Awareness Campaign
Society for Children and Youth of BC will introduce their province-wide public awareness campaign on the rights promised in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
